Known affectionately as “Harry” by his patients at Elwood, Elsternwick, and Beaumaris, Dr. Hany Bebawy is the founder of Physio Cure and a highly experienced, results-driven Senior Physiotherapist with a unique dual background in both Physiotherapy and Veterinary Medicine.
Graduating with Distinction (90%) from Charles Sturt University, Harry ranked at the top of his class. He originally qualified as a veterinarian in 2003 from Cairo University and still maintains his veterinary registration—bringing a rare, holistic understanding of anatomy and movement to his physiotherapy practice.

His ability to explain complex issues in simple, relatable terms empowers his patients to better understand their conditions and take control of their recovery.
Beyond his clinical work, Harry has also trained and supervised many physiotherapy and allied health assistant students, including those from the Sterling Institute. His mentoring has helped shape the careers of future healthcare professionals and reflects his commitment to continuous learning and high standards in patient care.
One of his most memorable clinical moments was helping a patient—who had been chair-bound for six months—regain the ability to walk. This achievement earned him a Star Award for outstanding care in aged care services.
Outside the Clinic
When he’s not helping people move better and feel stronger, Harry enjoys playing the piano, composing music, mastering chess strategies, and spending quality time with his family.
